ART 386 KNIT DESIGNER RAMON GURIILO
He was born in Valencia, Spain in 1973
Studied at Barrreira Art and Design School and School of Arts and Craft.
During Art school was a freelance designer. Then went on to be a stylist for fashion magazines and advertising companies. Also worked as a model scout in Madrid and Miami.
in 1998 he moved to London to start his own design business. As his business developed he also developed a team of expert knitters and crafts from around his hometown.
he is influenced by rich craftsmanship traditions and unique cultural atmosphere of his native Valencia. an important part of his inspiration comes from places he has visited like India, Coloombia, Peru, Israel, and Cuba.
Defined by style over trend and craftsmanship over production numbers. his clothes are mix of dark undertones, grunge references and couture like sophistication.
